The Last 35 Minutes

1.  Have students do Class-work / Homework at this time

2.  Try not to finish the class suddenly. Start to wind down when there are 10-15 minutes left. The amount of time needed will depend on the amount of new vocabulary, grammatical structures learned and errors made during the class.

3.  Go over errors that came up during the class.

4.  Rapidly review/ elicit new vocabulary that came up.

5.  Issue homework.

6.  Foretell what you will teach in the next class

7.  Finish the class laughing/ smiling - on a positive note or with some sort of cool-down reward-type activity!

NB: A cool-down and warm up activity are one and the same; much like going to the gym, and do remember that they could /should be related activities.
