Starting	$7.00	1 to 6	months
2	$7.25	7 to 12	months
3	$7.50	13 to 18	months
Top	$8.00	19 +	months

The average teacher chooses to work about 26 hours a week, but may work as many hours as he or she wishes. We expect you to work no less than 20 hours a week from Monday thru Friday.

Teachers are eligible for a pay increase based on performance after 6, 12, 18, and 24 months on the job.

26 hours a week, at $7.00 per hour would be equivalent to approximately US$788.00 per month. N.B.: This is more than twice the monthly income of an average Costa Rican, which is approximately $310.00 or ¢150,000 colones a month.
