Work Permits and Visas

Most Visas are valid for 3 months and can easily be renewed by simply crossing the boarder with either Panama or Nicaragua. Most teachers find this a great opportunity to get out of San Jose and spend the weekend on a beach in Panama or Nicaragua.

We try to apply for work permits for all our teachers. There might be a $300.00 charge, including a deposit that the government requires, which you will have to pay.

Furthermore, you must be prepared to pay into the national health system which is about 9% of your salary.

Requirements for Work Visas :

US $300.00 (Legal Fees, deposit, etc.)
Copy of your passport (you may make photocopies at our office)
Copy of your TEFL Certificate
4 passport size pictures
